Hello, my name is Beth Browning and this is my 4th year teaching at Buford Middle School! Buford is such a fabulous school district, and I'm very proud to be a part of it!
The 2020-2021 school year marks my 8th year teaching. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Public and Social Services from Kennesaw State University in 1996 and worked in foster care with Gwinnett County Department of Family and Children Services for 8 years before entering the school system. I was a paraprofessional for 5 years and then received my teaching certification from the University of North Georgia in 2013. I have always had a passion for working with children, and I am so fortunate to have had a career prior to teaching that has helped me understand children from all circumstances, thus enabling me to become a better educator. I am currently attending Kennesaw State University as a M. Ed. graduate student in Instructional Technology.
When not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Cory, our children, Hope and Tate, and our dog, Daisy. My hobbies include reading, being a soccer and cheerleading mom, and spending time with family and friends. I also attend McKendree United Methodist Church.
I look forward to a great year in this wonderful Buford community!
